Restricting Content

This allows you to restrict the viewing of a page's content by forcing a visitor to login using their member profile information.  If you have given that member, or a group that the member belongs to, permission to access the page, they will see the content once they login.

To restrict access to the content on a page, follow these steps.

1. Access the page you are wanting to restrict access to in the pages manager.
2. Click on the page name as if you were going to edit it.
3. Click the "Access Permissions" link.
4. Click the box that says "Activate Access Permissions"
5. Next, your membership will display and you can select the members that should be granted access to this page. You can assign access rights at a group level by selecting the box beside the group you would like to grant access to.  If you would like to grant access to only certain profiles within the group, click on the avatar (image) of the group to enter the group and view all profiles.  You then can select the profiles that should be granted access. NOTE: All column headers are clickable so you can sort the column alphabetically.  You can also use the search box to search for individual profiles.
6. If your permission set applies to the subpages of the page you are working on, you can click the "Apply to Sub Page" button which will allow you to write the same permission set for the subpages so that you do not have to do it manually one by one. 

Now, when this page is accessed by visitors on your site, they will beprompted to login.  Only those members that you have granted access tothis page, will be able to login with their profile information, andsee the content successfully.
