Authorize.Net
It is important to note that we are NOT partnered with Authorize.net and we are not receiving any financial gain from offering this integration option. Current clients have requested this payment processor due to its advanced processing abilities.
An Authorize.Net Payment Gateway account enables you to accept credit card payments directly from your site, rather than redirecting to separate website for final checkout, such as our other payment processing solution, Google Checkout.
Besides keeping the customer on your website, using Authorize.net is typically less expensive than Google Checkout for those who have more than the occasional transaction each month.
To get started using Authorize.net, there are 2 pieces you'll need:
1. Merchant Account
A Merchant Account is a type of bank account that allows businesses to accept payments by debit or credit cards. If you already have a merchant account that you use, it's likely you can continue to use it with Authorize.net. If you do not have a merchant account, you will need to establish one. Authorize.net can point you to a number of Merchant Account Providers that they can work with.
2. Payment Gateway (Authorize.net)
A Payment Gateway is an e-commerce service that authorizes payments for e-businesses and online retailers. It is the equivalent of a physical POS (point-of-sale) terminal located in most retail outlets. Authorize.net is the Payment Gateway in this case and you'll need to establish an account with them.
Create a Authorize.Net Account
To get started with establishing your Authorize.Net payment gateway, follow the link below to find out more information. You will want to become a 'Web Merchant' that will host your own payment form and connect to your account via an 'Authorize Login ID' and 'Transaction Key', which is detailed below. You will also be discussing Payment Processors with the Auth.net representative. Authorize.net provides the 'payment gateway' and you also need a 'payment processor'. Your Authorize.net representative can give you more information on this.
Authorize.net has their pricing for their services at the following link

- Access your Authorize.net account and generate and copy your 'API Login ID' and 'Transaction Key'
- Submit a support ticket to us so that we can enable the Authorize.net account for your site. You will not be able to enter the values into your admin area until we activate this for you.
- Once we activate auth.net processing for your account, Access your website's admin area and click on the 'Store' tab.
- Click on the 'Store Settings' link.
- You will see the area to enter your Authorize.net values. Paste in exactly the values you copied from your Authorize.net merchant account.
- By default, your Authorize.net account will be in 'test' mode. Within your website's admin area, adjust the 'Processing Mode' in your website's admin area to 'Live'. Be sure to also turn your actual Authorize.net account to live as well. (You can not run your account in test mode at this time. If you are wanting to send through some test transactions, you will need to do this live and then refund your orders.)
Note: If you have Google Checkout and Authorize.Net values entered within the Store Settings area your site will show both checkout buttons and your website visitors can choose which payment process to follow. If you wish to have the auth.net checkout button only, delete your Google Checkout payment processor information within the admin area and save.
