The HTML Editor

The editor is the most widely accepted and used html editor for web applications today.  The buttons below are some of the main buttons / functions of the editor and each will give a brief description about what they do.  Refer to this as a handy guide when working with the editor throughout the system .

Standard Functions

Icon	Tool Name	Description
	Find And Replace	Find and Replace - Find (and replaces) text in the editor's content area.
	Ajax Spell Check	Spell button - Launches the spell checker.
	Cut	Cut button - Cuts the selected content and copies it to the clipboard.
	Copy	Copy button - Copies the selected content to the clipboard.
	Paste Plain Text	Paste Plain Text button - Pastes plain text (no formatting) into the editor.
	Undo	Undo button - undoes the last action.
	Redo	Redo button - Redoes/Repeats the last action, which has been undone.

Insert and Manage Links, Tables, Special Characters, and Media

	Image Manager	Image Manager button - Inserts an image from your files area.
	Insert Table	Insert Table button - Inserts a table in the editor.
	Toggle Table Borders	Toggle Table Borders - Toggles borders of all tables within the editor.
	Insert Date	Insert Date button - Inserts current date.
	Insert Time	Insert Time button - Inserts current time.
	Flash Manager	Flash Manager button - Inserts a Flash animation from your files area.
	Video Browser	Video Manager button - Inserts a video object from your files area and lets you set its properties.
	Audio Browser	Audio Manager button - Inserts a Windows audio object from your files area and lets you set its properties.
	Document Manager	Document Manager - Inserts a link to a document from your files area.
	Link Manager	Hyperlink Manager button - Makes the selected text or image a hyperlink.
	Unlink	Remove Hyperlink button - Removes the hyperlink from the selected text or image.

	Indent	Indent button - Indents paragraphs to the right.
	Outdent	Outdent button - Indents paragraphs to the left.
	Justify Left	Align Left button - Aligns the selected paragraph to the left.
	Justify Center	Center button - Aligns the selected paragraph to the center.
	Justify Right	Align Right button - Aligns the selected paragraph to the right.
	Justify Full	Justify button - Justifies the selected paragraph.
	Justify None	Justify None Button - Removes the alignment
	Insert Unordered List	Bulleted List button - Creates a bulleted list from the selection.
	Insert Ordered List	Numbered List button - Creates a numbered list from the selection.

Create, Format, Edit: Text and Headings

	Bold	Bold button - Applies bold formatting to selected text.
	Italic	Italic button - Applies italic formatting to selected text.
	Underline	Underline button - Applies underline formatting to selected text.
	StrikeThrough	Strikethrough button - Applies strikethrough formatting to selected text.
	Superscript	Superscript button - Makes a text superscript.
	Subscript	Subscript button - Makes a text subscript.
	Apply Class	Custom Styles dropdown - Applies custom, predefined styles to the selected text or image.
