Gmail Email

We help our clients establish email with their domain using Google's email program called Gmail. Using gmail you can still have email addresses through your domain such as user@yourdomain.com and not user@gmail.com. Think of gmail as the email service provider 'behind the scenes' for your email. We establish the standard free Google Apps account for you that comes with 50 mailboxes (user accounts) that you can use for your domain.
Eastablishing Google Apps Account
http://www.google.com/a/cpanel/domain/newTo create and activate your Google Apps account, you will need to be able to add a DNS entry within your site's DNS so that Google can verify your account and website address. We will help you through this process if we manage your DNS. If you manage your own DNS, click the verify link at the top of your control panel and follow the on screen instructions to verify your account.
Adding Users (Mailboxes)
To add email addresses to your domain you must have administrator access in your Google Apps account. If you have administrator access in your Google Apps account you will see a link that says "Manage This Domain" in the upper right portion of your Gmail inbox.
To add a new account click "Manage This Domain":
Then click "Add New Users":

You can set the password to whatever you'd like or take note of the automatically generated password.
You can also access your Google Apps control panel's Dashboard by going to: http://www.google.com/a/yourdomain.com
Going Live with Gmail Email Services
The DNS for your domain will need to be edited to take this service live. This is done by editing the MX records within your DNS. If we manage your site's DNS we will complete this process for you when you are ready. Otherwise, if you manage your own DNS, click the activate link below Gmail within your Google Apps Dashboard, and follow the on screen instructions.
Once you take your email services with Gmail live, the below information will be helpful.
Checking your Email with Webmail
Users will go to: http://mail.google.com/a/yourdomain.com to login to their new account using the email address and password assigned to them.
