Store Products

This is where you will add products to your store. You will first start by creating product categories so that your products can be within these categories.

Store Categories

To add a new product category:

1. Click the folder icon with the green plus symbol.
2. Give the new category a name.
3. Click save.

To edit a product category select the category that you want to edit and then click the folder icon that contains the pencil.  Make your adjustments and click 'Save'.

Now that your category is created, you are ready to begin adding products.

Store Products

To add a new product:

1. Click on the product category you want to add a product to.
2. Click the 'Add New' button.
3. Enter all the appropriate information for the product.  You will see the item's information to enter including the name, price, details, photos, and more. You can also use the product details and product variations that you setup within your Store Settings section.
4. When you are done entering the information, click the 'Save' button.

To edit an existing product click on the product category that contains your product and then click the product image to the left of the product name.  Make the necessary adjustments and then click the save button.

Notes on Products

Downloadable Products(New as of July 2009!) - This process will allows you to sell digital products such as audio files (mp3's). The customer will purchase theproduct in the store as a normal product and after checkout will receive an email with a link to download the product. The customer will have 3 days to try to download the product. As you are creating your product, you will be able to specify if it is digital or not.  If so, you will be able to choose the file that should be downloaded once the customer completes checkout.

Inventory: If you wish to use inventory for your product, make sure to check the option to use inventory and enter the current on hand inventory you have.  If a product reaches 0 inventory a message will be displayed allowing your visitors to signup for notifications once the product is back in stock!

Product Details: Product Details offers a structured way to present standard details foryour product (ex: Size, Weight, Material, etc.). These details appearwith the short description and provide quick information to yourcustomer.

Product Variations: Product Variations allow you to offer alternate versions of yourproduct (ex: a shirt that comes in multiple colors). Before using, youmust setup Variations within the Product Variations page.Although you will see these variations when adding your product's, they will NOT display on your website with this product unless you enable them with the product in the administration area.

Quantity Based Pricing: (New as of July 2009) - Does your pricing change if people buy more of it at a time? You canadjust that here. Just check the box to turn it on, and click save toget started.Create arange of quantities that are charged at a specific unit price. If thecustomer orders a quantity not covered by this range, the 'Our Price'from the 'Required Fields' area will be used.

Moving and Deleting

To remove a product from your store, you can temporarily remove it byclicking on the product category that contains your product and then checking the box to the left of the product's name and then click the'Archive' button.  To remove the product completely, click the box to the left of the product's name and click the 'Delete' button.

To move product categories around within your category tree, click the category that you would like to move and then click the folder icon with the green arrow. Select the new product parent category and click the 'Move Product Line' button.

To delete a category completely, click the category that you would like to delete.  Next click the folder icon that has the Red X, and confirm the deletion.
