Events Widget
This module allows you to display a list of upcoming events on your site from any calendar that you choose on your site. This is useful if you have an area within your site design for a latest or upcoming events, or if you are just wanting to display a quick list of upcoming events for a particular category from any calendar.
To add the Events Widget to your site:
- Access the page you are wanting to work with by starting in the
main Pages tab and then click on the page name you would like to edit.
If the page is not created yet, create it. Click the "Add to
this Page" link to expand the list of available page parts, and then
click on the 'Events Widget' link. You will notice that the Events Widget Page Part will
be added to the page.
- Select the number of upcoming events you would like to display.
- Select the calendar page part you would like to use. Our system will search all of your pages and display a list of calendars used throughout your site. This allows you to choose the calendar that your upcoming events will be displayed from.
- If the chosen calendar has categories in use, select the appropriate categories to use.
- Select an option to show the calendar link or not. This allows someone to link to the full calendar chosen to see other events.
- Select if you would like to have each event's description display with the event in this feed area. Some clients like just having a list of event names, and others like having the event name and the description display with each event.
- Select if you would like to show the event's image with the listing.Click Save.
To edit the Events Widget page part, you can simply change the entered information above and click save.
To delete the Events Widget page part, simply click the 'Red X' beside the page part name, and confirm the deletion.
