A site may have a store that has product pickup locations. These locations can be entered into the admin area including the pickup location's physical address, time zone, hours of operations, and even the addition of holiday hour settings.
To add new days / times when the location is open click the + icon beside any existing time. Enter the new times. Click 'Save' at the bottom of the screen.
To edit an existing pickup location time, edit the location, make the changes to the various days / times and click 'Save' at the bottom of the screen.
To delete a pickup time option, click the - icon beside the time. Click 'Save' at the bottom of the screen.
Products can be specified as “can pick up” when editing each product. For these products, on checkout, the buyer can specify when and where they want to pick up the item. The pick up date and time is determined by the 'pick up delay' option in the store admin.
Each location has the ability to create and modify days and times the location is opened (or that pickup is available). Also, there are holidays to specify when the location will be closed (these have to be kept up to date annually as they have specific dates (12/25/2012) rather than the same potential dates for every year. There are “pick up statuses” for orders (similar to “shipping status”): i. Pending ii. Picked Up iii. Will Not Pick Up. These statues and pickup information are also included in store reports.
If a cart checkout has begun with an item that can be picked up and cannot be shipped and and the customer attempts to add an item that can be shipped, but cannot be picked up, then a warning message will appear explaining that they had already begun a pick up order. In the case that all items in the cart can both be shipped or picked up, the customer has the option to choose which they would pke.
