This section will allow you to setup your account information including billing, account owner, and domain information as it relates to your account. If you've moved to a new location, be sure to update your billing information in this screen. NOTE: Only the primary account owner will be able to see and access the Account tab of your admin area.
Quick Menu
Access Your Account
The primary account owner can access the Account Settings area by clicking on their admin profile (in the upper right hand area of the system) and clicking the 'Account Settings' link.
Site URL
This is the address that is used to access your site while you're working on things behind the scenes. This is helpful as it allows you to see your live website being built as time goes by until launch.
Account Owner
The account owner is setup initially when the site is created. This is the primary point of contact from our company to you. We'll send important information and billing to this person as needed. To change the account owner to another profile, the original account owner must login and then they'll have a drop down of other super admin's that they can select and delegate the account ownership to.
Site Status
This option allows you to turn your site 'on' or 'off' which essentially will launch your website if it is 'on' and your domain's web traffic records are pointed to our servers.
My Domains
You can point different domains to your site and have them route to certain sub pages if you would like. Your primary domain will be used for your actual site, so be sure to select it as primary. Then if you have other extensions of your domain, such as .org and .net, you can point those over as well. If you have a different domain altogether and it should point to your say Ministry page, you can do that too. When adding domains, do not include the www. in the domain. So, if we were adding http://www.speakcreative.com to our account as an active domain, we would just add it as speakcreative.com and not www.speakcreative.com. To add a new domain to your account, click the 'Add a domain' link.
You'll want to adjust the web traffic IP to point the domain traffic over to us. The IP you will use will be displayed to you in the admin area below the domain management area. Click the link that states "If you manage your own DNS, click here for further instructions." NOTE: Be sure to read and fully understand the instructions for DNS setup when pointing domains over to us. We'll need to know if you're pointing over to our name servers as we'll need to be sure to setup your DNS Zone File in advance, otherwise, your site and email will go down.
Account Cancellation
I want to cancel. How do I close my account? This option allows you to deactivate your site and cease billing as of that month. You no longer have to complete cancellation forms, and we no longer complete 'scheduled' cancellations. If you cancel your site mid-month, there will not be any partial month credit. You can cancel your account and site at any time. Please, though, keep in mind this will stop your site and make you incapable of logging into your admin control panel and gathering any of your content and saved data. This goes for any custom form entries, registrations, members, blog posts, photos, and so on, anything and everything will be inaccessible by you and your visitors. DNS will be deleted within 7 days after cancellation, therefore, to alleviate website and email downtime, be sure you ask us if we manage your DNS before cancelling your site.
Hosting Plan Management
Click on the Plan & Billing tab to access the Plan and Billing features.
You can upgrade or downgrade your hosting plan at any time on this screen. You will not be able to upgrade if you have outstanding invoices that are not paid. You will not be able to downgrade if the hosting plan you are currently on is using its full qty of various page parts, and the downgraded plan does not have that allowed qty. In other words, in the current plan if you are using 10 blog page parts, but in the new plan you are wanting to downgrade to only allows 5 blog page parts, you will not be able to downgrade. You must first access, edit, and delete the extra non-needed qty of the page part(s) in question, then you should be able to downgrade once the new plan meets the all of the quantity requirements.
Billing and Invoices
This screen will also display a list of paid invoices, upcoming invoices, and links to either pay one time or setup auto-pay for your account.
NOTE: For invoices prior to 5/1/2011, contact our accounting department.
