How do I add photos to the gallery?
After adding the photo gallery page part to your page, click the 'Add Photos' link to begin adding photos to your gallery. You can easily add multiple photos to your gallery during the addition process by selecting the checkbox to the left of each image you would like to insert and then clicking the 'Insert All Checked' button at the top of your image browser dialog window.
NOTE: You can easily display photos from your Flickr account in your photo gallery page part by first clicking the Settings tab within the page part. Do not add photos to your gallery manually if you will be using Flickr.
Can I have a single image display on the page and then flow through the gallery once someone clicks on it?
Yes. This is done by selecting the appropriate display option. If you would like to display a single image, click the Settings tab and for the Display Options choose 'Album Cover'. If you would rather list out all of the thumbnails that are in the photo gallery, choose the 'Thumbnail Gallery' option.
I see the Flickr option, will viewers know that the images are from Flickr?
No. If you choose to use the Photo Gallery page part with your Flickr account, the images will appear as if you uploaded them through the system. Once you enter your Flickr account information in the page part's Settings tab > Photo Source, you'll be able specify how many pictures you would like to display and the option to display your entire Photostream or a specific tag set.
NOTE: If you receive a message that the system can not connect to your stream or specific tags, often with a message about a bad username, you must go to your Flickr account > settings > Privacy & Permissions and set the option to 'Hide your stuff from public searches' to NO. It is marked Yes by default. Once this has been changed, you must access your photo gallery page part, click on the Settings tab, and then click 'Save'. This re-forces and opens the connection to your gallery. Also be sure you are using your Flickr ID and not your Yahoo ID to ensure your feed connects properly.
I've added several photos to my page, is there an easy way to reorder them?
Yes. You can click and hold an image to drag and drop the ordering around.
How do I change or delete an image in the gallery?
Just click the small trash can icon in the lower right of the image that you want to remove. If you need to add a new image you can do so afterwards.
How do captions work?
Once an image has been added to the gallery, click the 'No Caption' link below the image to enter your caption. If you ever need to edit or delete your existing caption, click the caption to edit or remove the text. Within the page part's settings tab, you then can choose to 'Display Captions' or not.
