To register a new domain with Speak Creative
Registering a domain with us is very easy. Within your admin area, submit a support ticket telling us the domain(s) you would like for us to purchase and we'll let you know if they are available. If so, we'll let you know and ask you to confirm the added amount to your next invoice, and upon your approval, we'll attempt to register the domain. Domain registration fees are $20 per domain per year.
To transfer a domain to Speak Creative, follow these simple steps
A domain transfer allows you to transfer domain names from the management under one registrar to another registrar.
If you have any existing registration time with your domain, that time will transfer over on top of the year that we add to the domain when the transfer occurs. A domain must also have been registered for more than 60 days before you are allowed to transfer registrars.
Here are the steps to transfer a domain to Speak Creative
- Access your current registrar to have the domain unlocked. This is where you initially purchased your domain, or could be your current website hosting company. Note: At this point you can have the administrative contact's email address changed to firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like. ONLY CHANGE THE ADMINISTRATIVE CONTACT USER. This helps speed the transfer process up as we'll get the transfer emails that require a click to approve the transfer etc. Otherwise, if you do not want to update this email address, or are not able too, no problem. The current administrative contact of the domain will be the person who's email address receives the transfer authorization emails that must be received and a link clicked within in order for the transfer to proceed.
- Next, obtain the authorization code for your domain.
- Next, submit a ticket within your website admin area > support tab and tell us the domain(s) that you are wanting to transfer and its authorization code. We'll begin the transfer process of the domain and will alert you once the domain transfers successfully or fails to transfer.
To transfer a domain away from Speak Creative:
- Submit a ticket within your admin area > support tab and tell us the domain(s) that you are wanting to transfer away. We'll double check billing to make sure you're good to go. If so, we'll unlock the domain and supply you with the auth. code.
