Learn how you can embed an iFrame to your SiteWrench site. This is particularly useful when you want to embed a video from a third party, including a webcam, YouTube or Vimeo.
YouTube or Vimeo
There are certain benefits to hosting your video through a third party site like YouTube or Vimeo:
- It's free to have an account (up to a certain point)
- YouTube and Vimeo will compress and optimize your videos
- YouTube and Vimeo will serve up your video to any device or browser
- YouTube and Vimeo will do the heavy lifting of hosting the file -- this means that your website has less to "serve up" to your client, which means your webpage speed is faster. A faster website means a better user experience for your client, and better SEO (Search Engine Optimization) results.
Once you upload your video to YouTube or Vimeo, you can easily use their Embed Code and enter that into SiteWrench. All you have to do is flip to the Source code view within your WYSIWYG editor and paste in the script they supply. Save your content and view the refreshed version of your webpage on your site to see your video.
