Managing Page Parts
You will notice that there are three sub tabs within this module. One each for 'Apps', 'Widgets', and 'Content'. You will click on the tab of choice to find the page part(s) that you would like to manage within that section.
Each Page part is listed in alphabetical order so that you can easily find the page part you would like to work with. You will notice that each page part has a usage quantity that will tell you how many page parts you are currently using out of the total number allowed in your hosting plan. NOTE: 'Uninstalled' status page parts do count against your hosting plan's allowed quantity of the page part, as they may have data associated with them. If you are wanting to add more page parts and can not, you can upgrade your hosting plan at anytime. Have the primary account owner login and visit their 'Account Settings' under their profile. This 'Account Settings' area can only be seen by the primary account owner of a site. A 'Plan and Billing' tab will be presented allowing them to instantly upgrade your hosting plan. Otherwise, fully deleting an uninstalled page part will also free up the used quantity as well.
Adding New Page Parts from this view
Within each page parts section, we will list out all the current page parts that are being used on your site. To add new page parts directly from this view click the 'New' button and the following screen will be displayed allowing you to add a new page part to your site. You will also be provided the option to clone another blog or to copy the content from another blog (click here to learn more about cloning vs. copying). Once it has been added, you then can choose to install it on any page that you would like.
Editing Page Parts from this view
Each line item in each page part contains an 'edit' link which will allow you to go directly to the page that the page part is installed on to edit it. This is a huge time saver if you are not sure where that blog or news archive is on your site exactly but you know that you need to update it. Rather than searching through a lot of pages, you can easily click the associated 'edit' link and it will take you straight to it.
If you'd rather save a bit more time and not be re-routed to the page itself to edit, you can click on the next icon which will allow you to edit the page part's content instantly in the current view.
Uninstalling and Deleting Page Parts from this view
You can uninstall and delete page parts while you are working on each page, however, you can also do it while you're working in the main Page Parts tab of the system as well. First, you can click the 'uninstall' link on any item to remove it from the page and it will be in an 'uninstalled' status. This allows all data to be retained especially if you know you will need to use the data again later on. It saves you time from having to delete it now and recreate it later.
If you are ready to delete the page part and do not want to retain the data, you can click the 'delete' link and confirm the option to completely remove the page part from the page. This will delete the page part and its contents from the system. Once you have deleted a page part, it will be gone and can not be recovered.
